Lady Gaga's friend and go-to photographer, Terry Richardson, announced on Tuesday his mother had died. To pay her respects, the "Born This Way" star shaved the back of her head to resemble Richardson's bald spot.
"I did it for u Terry," Gaga wrote on Twitter alongside the photo. "I'm sorry about ure mommy."
Annie Lomax died this week after being in intensive care. On Tuesday, Richardson posted a series of photos showing his mom attached to breathing tubes and looking very frail. His final entry is an eccentric shot of Lomax, saying "R.I.P. Annie Lomax, My Mom 1938-2012"
Richardson and Gaga have collaborated for years and in late 2011 released a photo book documenting ten months in the life of the famed singer. "Lady Gaga x Terry Richardson," which contains 350 color and black and white photos, was released to positive reviews and reached No. 5 on the New York Times best seller list.
