Lady Gaga To Record For Great Gatsby?

LADY GAGA could be recording a song for the soundtrack to The Great Gatsby. The hugely-anticipated Baz Lurhmann adaptation starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan is due to hit cinemas in May 2013.

According to actress Adelaide Clemens, who also features in the production, Lady Gaga could well be contributing musically to the project - along with Prince.

"They have some new music that's going to be added to the film," Clemens told Indiewire. "Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film, and I don't think Warner Bros. are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door."

Her admission was then followed by a swift: "I don't know if I'm allowed to say that".

Nothing has yet been confirmed by either musician or the film production company. The Great Gatsby was originally slated to hit screens in time for Christmas this year, but was moved back to 2013.

It was also recently revealed that Miuccia Prada reworked 40 dresses from the Prada archives for the film's costumes, while all jewellery worn on-screen was provided by Tiffany & Co.
